The work portraits the stupidity of competition and ranks. Here we have a salami contest. Third place goes to the completely white salami because it didn’t put an effort in order to win (doesn’t say much), the second place goes to the red salami because it tried to much to resemble a salami, and the first place goes to the most special of them.
